This policy covers prelaps (prelaps.com) and every tool published on it.

1. General

prelaps has no sign-up and no account, and asks for no personal details such as a name or an email address. Cookies are used for visit statistics and advertising, which section 2 below covers separately.

Whatever you type or upload is processed entirely inside your browser. This is not only a promise in a document — the site has no server that receives your text. Closing or reloading the page discards it, and no browser storage is used, so nothing is left on your device either.

Accordingly the following are never collected: name, email address, phone number, account details, the contents of anything you type or upload, or file names.

2. Common to all tools

Visit statistics

The site uses Google Analytics 4. It shows how often each page is opened, and whether a tool is merely looked at or actually used. That is what decides which one gets worked on next.

Tool usage events carry only values that keep no content — a length bucket, an output format. Text you paste, file names and file contents are not sent. They never leave your device in the first place, so there is nothing to send.

Google Analytics distinguishes repeat visits using cookies and comparable identifiers. Blocking cookies in your browser, or installing the opt-out add-on Google provides, stops the collection.

Advertising

The site serves ads through Google AdSense. During the review period the slots may not be filled yet and can appear blank.

Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and to other sites on the web.

Personalised advertising can be switched off. Google Ad Settings turns off personalisation for Google’s own ads; aboutads.info turns it off across many participating vendors at once.

External requests

Some pages load their typeface from Google Fonts, so opening them sends a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Your IP address and browser type may reach Google as part of that request. Only the connection information needed to deliver the font is involved — nothing you typed is included.

Server logs

The site is served as static files by a hosting provider, which may keep ordinary access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested path — for operation and troubleshooting. The operator does not use these logs to identify individual visitors.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 14, and no personal information is collected from visitors of any age.

Your rights

Because no personal information is stored, there is nothing to request access to, correct, or delete. If you believe otherwise, please get in touch.
